Site specific soil testing

At Midland we sweat the small stuff. An average soil test only takes into account Ca, Na, K, Mg, Ph, S, and N. We assess these plus up to 16 trace elements and minerals. As New Zealand soils are frequently out of kilter a comprehensive recommendation to correct the balance for minor elements is crucial to overall performance.

How do we go about it?

We have several agents who soil test for us. They take a spread of samples from the area you wish to test, the sample is then prepared and sent to the laboratory of your choice for comprehensive analysis. The results are returned to our New Zealand consultants for their site and purpose specific interpretation which determines the fertiliser recommendation.
